Are You Ready To Be Bold?: Daily Devotional for 29th June, 2025

Isn’t embodying boldness akin to standing on the precipice of a cliff, poised to dive into the unknown, armed only with the wings of conviction and courage?

35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.
36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.

- Hebrews 10:35-36

Sarah had always dreamed of opening her own bakery. Every time she visited her local café, she envisioned the sweet scent of freshly baked bread and pastries filling her own shop. However, she felt trapped in her stable job, which offered security but little joy. One day, after a long conversation with a friend, Sarah made a bold decision: she wouldn’t let fear stand in her way any longer. She left her job and poured her heart into creating the bakery she had always dreamed of. The initial days were tough, filled with uncertainty and late nights. She had to learn how to manage a business and face the challenges of competition, but each small success fueled her passion, turning her fears into excitement.

Sarah’s journey teaches us about the power of boldness in our lives. When she dared to step out of her comfort zone, she discovered a deeper sense of purpose. This aligns with the idea that sometimes we must take leaps of faith to realize our potential and true happiness. The higher meaning lies in understanding that being bold doesn’t always lead to immediate success; instead, it takes persistence and trust in our abilities. When we embrace our passions and step into the unknown, we not only find our true selves but also inspire others around us to do the same. Sarah’s story invites us to ask ourselves: Are we ready to be bold, to pursue what sets our hearts on fire, and to trust that God will guide us through the journey?

Sarah’s journey into opening her own bakery was not just about following her dreams; it became a bold declaration of faith. Leaving her stable job was a big step, and she often felt overwhelmed by fear of failure. However, she remembered the scripture from Hebrews 10:35-36, which reminds us, “Do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” This passage sparked something powerful in her heart. It encouraged her to trust that her passion for baking was not just a whim but a calling.

With each loaf of bread and batch of pastries she created, Sarah learned to be bold. She faced challenges head-on, knowing that perseverance was key. There were times when customers didn’t show up or when recipes didn’t turn out as planned, but through it all, Sarah held onto her confidence, knowing that God guides those who dare to step out in faith. Her bakery became not only a place of business but a testament to the importance of being bold in the face of uncertainty. Just like Sarah, we can reflect on our fears and ask ourselves: Are we ready to be bold in our own lives? Are we ready to step into the call God has placed in our hearts?
